Dear Liberal friends,

In Cooperation with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom – European Dialogue Programme, The International Federation of Liberal Youth is happy to announce its first event. ”Disinformation, Geopolitics, and Conflicts: The Youth Squadwhich will be held from 20 to 23 June in Brussels, Belgium.

Are you passionate about understanding the complex interplay between disinformation, geopolitics, and conflicts in our digital age? Do you believe in the power of informed youth to combat disinformation and help shape the future of global peace? If so, we invite you to apply for this workshop.

Democracies are facing incredible challenges these days; according to Edelman, 64% of people believe that reporters and journalists are purposely trying to mislead people by saying things they know are false or gross exaggerations; the situation is not much better for political leaders or civil society, therefore tackling disinformation is essential for protecting democratic processes, but also to preserve social cohesion, and maintain trust in institutions during polarizing times.

We are looking forward to meeting you soon. To apply, please fill out this online form; the deadline for applications is 17 March. Below, you will find further practical information.

We look forward to receiving your application!

Bram Roodhart
