The 59th Congress of Liberal International will take place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands on 24-27 April 2014. Prominent liberal leaders, parliamentarians and dignitaries from around the world will meet at the home of Europe’s largest port. The Congress is being held under the patronage of Prime Minister Mark Rutte, at the invitation of LI full member VVD. With liberals in government at the local level in Rotterdam and nationally, there is no better place to discuss the theme: ‘Enhancing Global Trade’.
IFLRY will be present at this Congress and you can be a part of our delegation! IFLRY can take 8 delegates for a special sponsored fee of only GBP 95 (approx. EUR 113,50). The IFLRY Delegation will be representing the liberal youth of this world, so we prefer a diverse make-up of the group. Also, IFLRY will host a fringe event on ‘Human Rights and Mega Sporting Events’, on which we also submitted a draft resolution. Exciting times, for which we need an active delegation!
Please apply before April 1st, by sending us an e-mail (email@example.com) with your name and your organization. Please mind that you have to be nominated by the international officer (or otherwise IFLRY responsible) within your organization. There is no maximum number of people per Member Organisation that can apply, though we will take such things into consideration when deciding on the final selection for the Delegation.
Note that unfortunately travel costs and accommodation are at your own expense. We encourage you to ask at your (Liberal International-affiliated) mother parties for support. We will try to look for options for affordable accommodation in Rotterdam.
