Dear friends,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the seminar Building a Youth Empowerment Network for Africa., which will be held in Nairobi on 11-14 May 2023.
Everywhere in Africa, young people are standing up to fight for their rights and to solve the problems that face them and their societies. This is a difficult struggle, but it can be made easier if we work together. IFLRY and ALYF are networks of young people that fight for democracy, human rights and youth empowerment in Africa and the world. We believe that we work best when we unite young people everywhere. That is why we are coming to Nairobi.
We are organizing a 4-day seminar to strengthen our network, and to help you to strengthen yours. We will discuss the challenges that are faced by young people in East Africa in particular, and in the continent as a whole. We will work on developing skills for networking, (political) organizing and activism, and we will also introduce you to the ALYF and IFLRY networks (the presidents of both organizations will be present) and explain to you how you and your organization can become a part of them. If you are interested in joining our seminar, please follow this link for more details and to find out how you can apply.
We look forward to meeting you.
Bram Roodhart, IFLRY President
Kawtar Mawas, ALYF President
