Pride Lab

What is this seminar about?

Across Latin America, we know what it means to fight for love, dignity, and equality. We’ve danced in the streets during Pride (some of us with fear, all of us with courage), painted our walls, faces, life with rainbows, and built networks of care that cross borders. And yet, we’ve also faced nights of fear, hateful speeches from podiums, and laws that try to erase our existence.

The fight is far from over. Isn’t it?

From October 13–16, 2025, in Lima, Peru, the International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY) and CIS Sweden will host “Queer Power: Embracing Diversity and Inclusion in Latin America”, four days to come together as a region, to share our victories, confront our challenges, and plan how we keep moving forward.

We’re inviting young leaders, activists, and allies aged 18–35 from across Latin America who believe that diversity is our strength. You don’t need a perfect resume, to participate, a real commitment to stand for LGBTQI+ rights in your community and a commitment to liberal values. This seminar is mostly to young politicians from the Americas and the Caribbean.

In this space, we will:

  • Speak openly about the discrimination and violence we STILL face.
  • Learn tools to defend our rights and our people.
  • Build regional solidarity so no one feels they are fighting alone.

Thanks to the support of CIS Sweden, your travel, accommodation, and meals will be fully covered. Just bring your voice, your courage, and your ganas to make change.

Latin America is vibrant, diverse and hard working.

Just a small side note, you need English to attend this seminar, however some sessions will happen in Spanish.
