About the ga
How liberals will hold the center: a need for nuance in politics?
Across Latin America, recent socio-political challenges, including authoritarian tendencies, threats to freedom of expression, judicial overreach, and social inequities, have raised concerns about the protection of individual rights. This Assembly in Lima, Peru, offers an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of liberal values in addressing these challenges and to develop strategies for ensuring the resilience of democratic systems and the protection of fundamental freedom
About the event
IFLRY will hold its 56th General Assembly in Lima from the 17th until the 19th of October 2025. The General Assembly will gather member organisations from all over the world. The General Assembly is the highest decision-making body of IFLRY and will, among other things, deal with:

Submission of draft agenda
The draft agenda will be published and made available to members by 19th September.
Submission of organizational proposals
Proposals for changes to Statutes, Rules Procedure and Internal Regulations are due by 19th September and should be submitted via Openslides or to office@iflry.org.
Submission of resolutions (on openslides)
Policy resolutions are due on October 3rd and should be submitted via Openslides.
