December 2, 2011 to December 4, 2011

It is our pleasure to invite you to the next Executive Committee (EC) and General Assembly (GA) of the International Federation of Liberal Youth to be held in Istanbul, Turkey from the 1st to the 4th of December, 2011. A Conference on the Freedom of Expression in the Digital Age will be held on the 2nd of December. IFLRY will also be running a five-day seminar prior to the EC/GA in the Istanbul (27 November – 1 December). IFLRY Member 3H Movement will co-organise the EC/GA and the Conference as well as the preceding seminar. D66 and VVD from the Netherlands, as well as the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) are partners in the organisation of these events.

The EC/GA will be a global gathering of IFLRY Member Organizations to reflect on 2011 as a year of important changes and challenges. A variety of workshops and panel discussions will allow for interaction between young liberals from around the world and bring forward new ideas and actions to advance the cause of freedom in 2012 and beyond. In addition, the General Assembly will vote on a new version for the Manifesto that outlines IFLRY’s core principles. Finally, the Member Organisations will also elect a new Bureau to head the Federation for a two year term. These are just some of the reasons to join us in the exciting city of Istanbul, at the crossroads of cultures and continents.
