For the upcoming Geneva Summit, taking place in Geneva on 20th February 2018, the IFLRY Human Rights Programme is looking for a team to commit to the preparations of and attendance at the event. The team of 3-4 people will be in charge of supporting the local organizers, representing IFLRY at the event, and reporting.

The Geneva Summit for Human Rights and Democracy assembles each year hundreds of courageous dissidents and human rights victims, activists, diplomats, journalists and student leaders to shine a spotlight on urgent human rights situations that require global attention. The Geneva Summit is sponsored by a coalition of 25 human rights NGOs from around the world. This annual conference builds on the success and momentum of the previous gatherings, which have been widely acclaimed in the international human rights community.

If you like to be a part of this special anniversary event, please send a short motivation (max. 200 words) to Denali Ranasinghe (projects.events@iflry.org) on before 1st January 2018, 23:59 CET. Attending the event in Geneva is at the team’s own convenience and costs. A partial financial contribution from IFLRY might be possible. The event will also be live-streamed.
